Google I/O dates announced, ticket sales start March 21

Tech giant Google has announced the dates for this year's Google I/O, its annual conference where it unveils new products and showcases its latest technologies.

Google has revealed that the conference will take place on May 28 and 29, 2015 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco.

Registrations for tickets will start on March 17 and will be open for two days. However, Google will choose attendees via a random lucky draw. This means that in addition to money you'll also need some luck to attend the event. Last year, Google I/O tickets were sold at $900.

The conference will feature product and platform innovations at Google, and will start with a live kickoff session from the company's senior vice-president of products and Android chief, Sundar Pichai.

Google I/O is also known for the free swag the company distributes to all attendees which sometimes costs more than the value of the event ticket. Last year, Google I/O attendees received two Android Wear watches and Google Cardboard box.
